At Peace Arch Hospital, we believe recognition is fundamental to fostering a workplace where medical staff feel valued, inspired, and empowered. The PAH MSA Recognition Awards is a site-driven program designed to celebrate the outstanding contributions of our medical staff, as nominated by their peers within the PAH Medical Staff Association (MSA).

This program is exclusively powered by your nominations, providing an opportunity to highlight the exceptional individuals who go above and beyond in their roles. Please find a description of each award types below.

Key Dates to Remember:

• Nomination Deadline: May 28, 2025, for achievements in the 2024 calendar year.

• Voting Period: May 1 2025 - May 28, 2025, following confirmation of nominations.

• PAH MSA Awards Day Indoor Family Picnic: Saturday, June 7th from 11 am to 3 pm - Awards will take place at 1 pm

Rookie of the Year

  • Introduces innovative ideas or approaches with measurable impact.

  • Demonstrates strong initiative and eagerness to learn and contribute.

Best Team Player

Description: Honoring a staff member known for exceptional collaboration, support, and reliability, uplifting the whole team.

Criteria:

  • Goes above and beyond to support team members in their roles.

  • Fosters a positive and collaborative work environment.

  • Is dependable, approachable, and consistently contributes to team success.

Game Changer of the Year

Description: For someone whose innovation or approach has had a transformative effect on patient care or team dynamics.

Criteria:

  • Implements innovative practices with measurable positive outcomes.

  • Encourages adoption of new ideas that improve patient care or workflows.

  • Serves as a catalyst for change, inspiring others to innovate.

Unsung Hero

Description: Recognizing the quiet contributor whose steady, behind-the-scenes efforts make a significant difference without seeking recognition.

Criteria:

  • Quietly works behind the scenes to ensure success without seeking recognition.

  • Reliably handles critical tasks with precision and care.

  • Demonstrates consistent dedication and a strong sense of responsibility.

All-Star Physician Award

Description: This award is open to departments with five or more physicians, offering a chance to recognize and celebrate the exceptional performance of a standout physician within the team.

Criteria:

  • Exemplifies exceptional clinical expertise and leadership within the department.

  • Is consistently recognized by peers and patients for outstanding care.

  • Plays a pivotal role in elevating the performance of the department as a whole.
